This data shows the monthly approximate number of pounds of injection
molded parts used in transportation; the monthly production of cars
light trucks, and heavy trucks; recorded sales for cars, light trucks,
and heavy trucks; and the twelve-month projection for the use of
injection molded parts in transportation.
This data shows the actual monthly factory shipments of major
appliances; average monthly poundage of injection molded parts for all
major appliances; and the average local content of each month and annual
averages.
This table tracks actual orders received by all U.S. manufacturers.
This table tracks actual shipments of manufactured goods by all U.S.
manufacturers.
The Mfg Orders and Mfg Shipments tables show various factors that allow
you to develop background information on key changes in the
manufacturing economy specific to plastics processing. These tables are only a general guide and are provided as a background to the monthly
Molders Economic Index.
The Molders Economic Index monitors current economic trends in the
injection molding market, and provides a performance index (Base: July
1994 = 100) for both the U.S. and North American (Canada, U.S., and
Mexico) markets.
